I was delighted to work with Hopgrove Construction to build and fit-out our Border Control Post, Royal Portbury Dock. This £2.7 million facility was delivered on-time, within budget and to a quality standard that has been admired by all visitors. The project faced significant challenges, not least the extremely tight timetable to deliver the building to achieve operational readiness, but also the particular demands of working within the busy secure port and facing the numerous and difficult challenges presented by multiple government departments who will occupy various parts of the building. From the project’s inception and throughout the site works, the senior staff at Hopgrove Construction all demonstrated a proactive approach to address issues that arose.
